Long Phor Dam was ordained and entered monkhood on 26th July BE2504 in Wat Mai Naparam. His buddhist name is LP Dam Janthasaro.
Luang Phor Dam remained at Wat Mai Naparam for 3 years before moving to Wat Prachaphirom. It was during his time at this temple that he travelled extensively to study and practise wicha under guidance and supervision of many Masters, including, Ajahn Bok, Luang Phor Bpee Wat Lahnhoi, Luang Phor Kong Wat Kaset Tigaram, Luang Phor Kong Wat Put, Luang Phor Dee Wat Sangha Sitharam, Narathiwat (LP Dee was a direct disciple of Tok Raja, LP Kron).
It is also recorded that he travelled to many of the northern provinces including Laos and Burma walking the entire distance in bear foot, learning from many other great masters of his era.
Long Phor Dam passed on 2nd December BE2551 at age 67.
